RAM Idle free1/31/2024 ![]() ![]() There are blog posts that tell how to decrease RAM usage, but either they just make use of the pagefile or the changes make very less impact on RAM usage. Haven't done this sort of project in my entire life and I have seen that Windows 10 does use a (more than) decent amount of RAM, which is probably due to bloatware that runs on startup or services that are not required. So that got me thinking whether I could make a Lite version of Windows 10 and just use it for myself because i) It's hard to trust the ones who already publish light versions of Windows 10 and ii) Some of them are already pre-activated, so it is basically violation (ig?) The comments were full of hate and, honestly speaking, shouldn't be encouraged for a 16yr old. I have seen a lot of Reddit posts saying," My RAM is almost full, or High ram usage even when idle". I have a 4gb machine and thinking of upgrading once I graduate, but for now, I am stuck with this. When people in school do not know "literally" anything about linux, here I am, now learning to hack (not unethically though) on Kali Linux and a tendency to use CLI on windows although GUI is an option. I (unfortunately) am 16 and a tech geek at this point. I am an experienced windows user and a linux one too. Hide Flairs Show Flairs Hide Help Posts.Need help with a post?
