![]() This is not a solution since I still need the latest iTunes to work with my iOS 15, iPadOS 15. As expected, It works flawlessly like the old day, the clickwheel games function still there. On second launch, I am ready to connect my iPod Video 5.5 gen. On first launch iTunes 12.6.5.3 Windows 7, I decided to go through all preferences just to make sure it will not automatically syncing my iPod to blank state, then I close iTunes. I proceeded to install that version on Windows 7 successfully, then reboot. I then uninstalled "iTunes 12.10.11.2" (up to date as of Mar 2022) as well as other relates plugin such as iCloud, iPod Service, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Software Update, Bonjour and any others "Apple related service" in the hope that I will start fresh again.Īfter that, I download iTunes "12.6.5.3" directly from Apple server (not from 3rd party hosting file). Since it is the obsolete iTunes version, So I decided to go on Windows 7. I did some more research, the internet saying the "iTunes 12.6.5.3" was the last version to support iPod Classic's clickwheel game. I woke up this morning with full intention to fix my iPod Classic with iTunes for Windows problem. I think I have some more information to add to this discussion. and that file (of mine) is failed to do its work? I skeptic about this because the way iTunes disappear in a blink of eyes after like 5 seconds of connecting iPod to computer. Is it possible that on iPod itself, there are some reference files which triggering iTunes to check upon connection process in order to validate something.Downgrading iTunes to something from 3 years ago i.e.Newer iTunes version is the factor here.Windows 7 or 11 is not the factor here. ![]() May I sum up a bit (thanks to turingtest2 and Brocktoon623) Within 5-6 seconds after iPod plug-in, the iTunes keep disappear. ITunes itself working fine as long as no iPod plug-in. I messed up with all the related drivers just to see if the outcome will be different. I spent the last 3 hours just trying to do what you recommend.
